8-Hr Live Online HAZWOPER

What do you get?

This course will give you re-certification as a 24-hr or 40-hr General Site Worker. This is for ANNUAL refresher training after previously completing your 24-hour or 40-hour training.

 You will have a fun, engaging, and comprehensive review of the critical things you learned in your full course including:

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Reading and interpreting SDS
• Distinguishing the US Department of Transportation (DOT) 9 hazard class ratings as they relate to chemical safety.
• Reading Chemical Labels from NFPA 704 Diamonds
• Hazardous waste vs. hazardous materials
• Toxicology and chemical hazards
• Requirements for HAZWOPER workers/team members who have to handle drums, containers, incompatible chemical risks
• And all other USSEPA and OSHA requirements for a legal and complete review and certification

Please note this course requires an exam for successful completion and a passing grade of 70% or higher.

Who's it for?

The HAZWOPER 8-hr annual refresher course is for anyone who needs to keep their 24-hr HAZWOPER or 40-hr general site worker certification in compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120.

Training Deadlines

You'll need to take the refresher on or before the anniversary date of your initial 24- or 40-hr HAZWOPER training. If you missed a refresher training, attend the next available course. You may meed to repeat the initial 24- or 40-hr HAZWOPER training if a substantial amount of time has passed since you too the refresher.

Grace Period

The grace period for missing a refresher must be determined by your employer. Ultimately, all employees must be trained sufficiently to be safe while performing their job duties.
